What a refreshing change to hear President Obama admit mistakes and seek to do better following the withdrawals of his nominees Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer (“Obama says he erred on Daschle,” yesterday).
Many mistakes were made in recent years about the Iraq war, the economy, climate change, education, and interpretation of the Constitution. If responsibility is to return to Washington, Wall Street, and the rest of the country, Obama’s example is an excellent place to start.
